Ambition

In reading an article this morning from Maestro WorkLife Coaching, thinking on the topic “Work on your ambition,” I am prompted to evaluate my own ambitions in life.  The article points out that the Apostle Paul indicates that our main ambition in life should be what we want others to love us for.  That makes me think about the concept of leaving a legacy.

What is it about what we do each day that people will remember about us?  What will people remember about our dealings with them throughout our life, be it in personal circles or business circles? Will we be remembered for our integrity?  Our honesty?  Our work ethic?  Our kindnesses?

I hope your goal is to one day stand before Jesus and hear the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant!”  I know that will be a glorious day, to know we have served Him well in all we were called to do, that we were obedient to His call, that we treated others uprightly with honesty, integrity and honor.

How about you?  What is your take on the subject?  I welcome your comments.
