Do you consider yourself successful? Are you prosperous?
God says in Genesis 39:2, “The Lord was with Joseph, so he became a successful and prosperous man.”
Joseph did not obtain success; he was a success. Success is not what we obtain but instead it is what and who we are. Prosperity is not something we have but rather something we are.
Regardless of our circumstances, we can be a success. If we trust God and He dwells in us, He makes us successful and prosperous.
I Corinthians 3:16 says, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”
We don’t need to wait for success to come our way. If God is in us, He is with us. Therefore we bring success with us wherever we go, no matter what our circumstances in life might be.
Because we have success, we are free to give of ourselves to others. We can help others see their own success. We can rejoice with them in their achievements and accomplishments.
We do not need to feel threatened by anyone else’s success and prosperity. We already have plenty of our own from God, and it is right within ourselves.
