We all want to succeed, right? No matter what we do in life, we do it with the intention of being successful. That is a pretty natural goal. No one ever really wants to fail, although even in failures we can still be successful as we use them to learn what does not work and try new and different things in order to find things that DO work.
Since the Bible teaches us that God should be our ultimate focus (read Deuteronomy 6:5-6) we need to always keep Him at the center of everything we do. The kingdom of God is all around us, and we are to be about His business in furthering that kingdom for His glory. We need to pray without ceasing as stated in I Thessalonians 5:17, and we need to keep God in the midst of everything we set our hands to do.
Unless we do our work unto the Lord, He cannot bless it and I believe we will ultimately fail, even though we may achieve some short-term success. As we focus on Him, He will help us focus on the tasks before us and enable us to be productive and successful in our endeavors.
