I read an e-mail that came to me this morning from WorkLife Rhythm and it was titled “Manna at Work.” This article got me thinking about how much I believe God wants us to be at peace and content in our work, whatever that work might be. He wants us to trust Him for the outcome, believing that He will bless whatever we set our hands to do, knowing that life is a process of constant change, growth and achievement. We cannot and should not expect things to happen immediately.
This article ,which was written by Dr. Richard Bouch, talks about how the Israelites grumbled and complained about God’s provision of manna while they were in the wilderness. It makes me think of how often we tire of the same-old, same-old and perhaps we find ourselves grumbling too, wishing things could be different, wishing something would “break” in our lives so we could see the fruit of our labor the way we want to see it. But sometimes God has a different plan, and it is always a better plan. We just need to trust Him.
Of all the things God has taught me this past year, learning how to really trust Him has been the one He has driven home the most. As I trust Him fully with my whole life, personal, business, financial, spiritual, He gently leads me in the way I should go. Praise His name!
